Atlas Sessions

Atlas Sessions plots the previous session's high and low and shows, directly on the chart, how often comparable sessions took the high only, the low only, both, or stayed inside.

What it shows

The futures day is split into four sessions. At each session open, Atlas Sessions draws the previous session's high and low and attaches a four-way breakdown that adds to 100% before rounding. An optional live mode updates the remaining probabilities as the session unfolds.

  • Previous-session high and low, each labelled with its historical share, plus the equilibrium midline and optional 25% and 75% levels.
  • A status table: the four-way breakdown (high only, low only, both, inside), which side tends to be swept first, the previous session's range and sweep, and a running tally of how the figures have fared on the history loaded on your chart.
  • Outcome ticks: as the session unfolds, a check mark appears beside the outcome that has actually happened and beside the side that swept first.
  • Median penetration guides beyond each level, an optional scenarios table, session boxes and full styling controls.
  • A warning row whenever something would degrade the read: too coarse a timeframe, the wrong symbol, the weekend wrap, a contract roll, or too little chart history.

Two builds, measured separately

The gold sessions follow the clocks that move gold, so the Asian block is anchored to the Shanghai afternoon. Its boundary shifts by an hour across the US daylight-saving change; that is intended.

Before you add it

On a free TradingView plan, use a 3-minute or 5-minute chart. The session statistics need five completed trading days of chart history, and a free plan loads about three and a half days of 1-minute bars. If history is short, the table says so. Any timeframe that divides 30 minutes works (1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 10, 15 or 30); 1 to 5 minutes reads best.

Contract rolls

On the session where the continuous chart rolls to the next contract, the previous session's levels are shifted into the new contract's prices so they line up with the bars in front of you. That session is greyed as unmeasured and left out of the running tally, and the warning row shows the size of the shift. If your chart was open across the roll, reload it once.

How to read it

Every figure is a historical frequency. A 60% figure means comparable sessions resolved that way 60% of the time in the measured history. It says nothing certain about today. The figures are clock-time based, so they are the same on any supported timeframe.

The record

From August to September 2026 we published every week what Atlas Sessions showed at the open and how each session closed: the NQ record for the NY AM session and the gold record for the US AM session.

Limitations

These are historical frequencies, not predictions. The NQ build applies to NQ / MNQ only and the gold build to GC / MGC only. Atlas Sessions does not generate trade signals; it provides statistical context for your own analysis and is not financial advice.
